Mally came to us in desperate shape — she needed foreign object removal, bilateral patella repair, an amputation, and ultimately a complex liver shunt operation at UC Davis veterinary hospital. Most rescues would have passed. We said yes. That's what Shadow Husky Rescue does. We take on the cases no one else will, because we believe every husky has a story worth saving — no matter how complicated or expensive that story gets. Our Medical Dogs Program is the heart of who we are, and it runs entirely on donor support. When you give to Shadow Husky Rescue, you're funding surgeries, specialist consultations, rehabilitation, and the round-the-clock foster care that gets medically complex huskies from the edge of euthanasia to the arms of a forever family. We're a foster-based rescue in Menifee, CA — we have no brick-and-mortar shelter. That means nearly every dollar raised goes directly to the dogs, not overhead.
