We Fought For Every Single One

This work isn't easy. Every penny and every second matters — and sometimes, even when you give everything you have, it isn't enough to bring a husky home. The dogs honored on this page arrived in our care displaced, medically fragile, or broken by circumstances beyond their control. We gave them warmth, veterinary care, and the dignity of being seen as individuals with names and stories. We do not take loss lightly, and we do not move on quickly. Every husky we have ever lost has made us more determined to fight harder for the next one.

We share these tributes because we believe every life deserves to be remembered. Anatole France wrote, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.” These dogs awakened something in all of us — in the fosters who held them through the hard nights, the veterinarians who gave them their best chance, and the volunteers who sat with them so they would never be alone.
